Air Handling Technology

Priorities of Research & Development and Services

The ILK main department of Air Handling Technology develops new solutions for energy-efficient and innovative products and processes in the wide range of air handling technologies.

The ILK air handling technologies contain the area of technical building services, especially heating, ventilation and air conditioning and the area of air pollution control, especially air filtration and exhaust gas cleaning.

Ventilation and air conditioning

  • Development of air conditioning equipment and plants und processes
  • Solar air conditioning and use of renewable energies
  • Services, especially in-situ measurements at installed  AC systems as well as energetic and fluid mechanic simulation calculations
  • Investigation and test of air conditioning equipment and plants on ILK`s testing ground
  • Manufacturing and prototyping, especially the development and manufacturing of test stands

Air pollution control

  • Development of equipment and plants und processes for air pollution control
  • Flue gas purification, Biomass combustion
  • Hot gas cleaning, ultra fine dust separation
  • Services, especially in-situ measurements at realised filtering systems, monitoring of pollutants
  • Investigation and testing of filter materials, filter elements and plants on ILK`s testing ground
